Yesterday, my husband and I visited to celebrate a friend's birthday, and we had a wonderful experience! The service was exceptional from start to finish. I enjoyed two amazing cocktails—the Strawberry Fields and a lychee cocktail—which were both absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I especially enjoyed the shrimp and steak dishes. As for dessert, it was good overall. The cookies were a little dry for my liking, but I really enjoyed the Orange Dreamsicle and espresso cookies. I would definitely recommend this place for a date night, corporate dinner, or any occasion worth celebrating!

Had an amazing experience at Sunda in the West Loop! The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was vibrant, but the food and drinks completely stole the show. You have to try the espresso martini flight—it was actually pretty good, and the chili espresso martini was so unique and different! For food, the adobo pork fried rice was delicious and packed with flavor. The crispy Wagyu was unbelievably tender and literally melted in my mouth. But the absolute highlights for me were the yellowtail hamachi and the crunchy hamachi, which was hands-down my favorite dish of the night. Definite 5 stars, I’ll absolutely be back!

came in to celebrate my buddy’s graduation. service was quick and efficient. our server frida was sweet and kind but also clearly knowledgable on the menu. she curated the perfect dinner of us. apps, entrees, desserts AND drinks were all on point. we sat near the open windows which had the perfect ambiance. will most definitely be returning every chance i get.

Well to start the night, we got extremely lucky! Jaedon was our server. He made our experience at Sunda a 10/10 experience! Tomas the table help was also made our dinner a better experience! The food was equally amazing to the service! The Crispy Wagyu had so much flavor! The Adobo Rice with chicken, tasted so fresh! Lobster eggs rolls were the best egg rolls in the city! Whoever was playing music for the restaurant had the vibes & ambience going! Definitely will be returning! If you want to have the best dinner experience, I HIGHLY recommend asking for Jaedon to be your server! I promise you won’t regret it!

I came in with my buddy Kareem and he was talking up the ridiculous dessert. He wasn't lying. Absolutely outstanding. I also ordered the brussel sprouts and the sea bass. Extremely good! Highly recommend this place and Mackenzie did a great job with the old-fashioned and service. 10 out of 10 would recommend

We had the best dinner here tonight. Carlos is an amazing server and was seriously the best part of our meal. The food was great, his recommendations were great, and the ambiance is amazing. Can’t wait to come back with more friends and family!

We did an early dinner at Sunda West Loop with our daughters. Food and cocktails were outstanding; my oldest (10) proclaims it’s her new favorite restaurant. More importantly to note, Mel (Melissa) is hands down one of the best servers we have had! Knowledgeable, attentive, and wonderful with the kiddos.

Sunda is one of those places that absolutely nails both the vibe and the food. The space is aesthetically fantastic—stylish, energetic, and perfect for a night out—but it’s the menu that really steals the show. This is a very cool fusion restaurant with a strong drink program (Japanese beers on tap, great cocktails, etc.), but make no mistake—the food is the main event. The miso cauliflower is a must-order. It’s perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and easily sharable for a group (though you may not want to). The oxtail potstickers were also a standout—rich, flavorful, and satisfying, with four per order. Then come the mains, which are massive. The Szechuan chicken was incredible: crispy chicken thigh over a bed of crispy rice noodles, with bold flavor and great texture. It’s the kind of dish that could genuinely feed a small village. On top of all that, the service is fast, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience seamless. Sunda is a great West Loop spot that delivers on every level—highly recommend.
