Sunda River North Happenings
The holiday season is a time for gathering, shared meals, warm memories, and dishes that bring us closer to one another. This year, we’re honored to introduce a new tradition at Sunda: our first-ever Ube Pie, inspired by Chef Mike’s Filipino heritage and the flavors that shaped his family celebrations.
Ube, a purple yam beloved throughout the Philippines, has long been associated with festivities and togetherness. Its naturally vibrant hue and subtly sweet, earthy flavor make it a standout ingredient in many Filipino desserts. For Chef Mike, ube is more than an ingredient, it’s nostalgia. It is the taste of family gatherings, holiday tables, and moments filled with laughter and comfort.
Our Ube Pie layers a silky ube filling beneath a gently toasted meringue that adds a light and airy finish. The result is a dessert that feels both familiar and new, refined, and rooted in tradition.
By the Slice: Enjoy it as a sweet finish to your meal at any Sunda location throughout the holiday season.
Whole Pies for Your Celebrations: Bring home a special touch to your holiday table.
