Sunda Nashville Reviews: From Our Guests

This restaurant is exceptional!! I enjoy often the wonderful offerings of Charleston, SC, my home, but this DEVINE dining experience tops all! Shout out to Kendall Wepking as what service she gave with her beautiful smile to our table! All her team mates were personable, efficient and FUN!, but Kendall made the lasting connection at our table. WOW, just WOW!!

I found a shard of glass in my Salmon Poke. This was extremely disheartening because this is my go to Asian fine dining restaurant in Nashville!

Had the best time visiting friends in Nashville here! Raihanna made us feel so welcomed and helped us navigate what plates to order that best fit our interests! She was so attentive and friendly, she made the dinning experience a 10/10!! Even had the chef come out and chat us through everything!! Thank you Sunda and Raihanna for an amazing double date night!

Raihanna was the best server EVER. So nice, so fun, elite experience. Food was incredible, highly recommend the adobo rice and wagyu crispy rice.

This was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The space is great, really big and well appointed. The service was excellent, our waiter Kevin was masterful. And the food, oh my gosh, the food was perfect. We had classics like tuna sashimi (best I’ve ever had), yellowtail hamachi and dragon rolls. We also tried some new things like the oxtail potstickers, crazy rice and the tom yum sea bass. 10/10 all around. The desserts were divine, especially the “Ridiculous”. I couldn’t recommend this place any more highly !!

Kevin was such a delightful person and so intentive!! We loved the spicy edamame!!

We went for the first time and were blown away by the flavors! From the "Smoke Show" with its amazing presentation and deep, rich flavors, to the "Red Dragon" with its gentle kick of heat. Complete with fresh ground wasabi. My favorite. Mikel waited on us and was very knowledgeable of not only the dish, providing his favorites from the menu, but also the traditional ways to eat them. He also made the evening special by providing my wife with a birthday treat, complete with candle. TYVM! If I were forced to provide some constructive feedback I would recommend lowering the music volume.

We had an amazing experience at Sunda! Mikel provided excellent service throughout the evening with some very good recommendations. The Pancit Canton and Crazy Rice were quite flavorful. This was a great spin on Asian fusion cuisine. We will be sure to come back again!"

We went in to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, our experience was phenomenal!! KEVIN our server was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable!! The food was very well prepared and tasted amazing!!!

Dinner at Sunda tonight… honestly, Mikel, I’m still thinking about it. Everything came out looking innocent enough—but the flavors had other plans. The sushi? Soft, delicate, and a little dangerous… the kind that makes you slow down and pay attention. The crispy rice had just enough bite to keep things interesting, like it knew exactly what it was doing. And that spicy tuna roll? Let’s just say it built up heat gradually… didn’t rush, didn’t overwhelm—just lingered in the best way possible. I kept going back for “one more bite,” even when I knew I was already fully satisfied. The noodles were silky, rich, and impossible to ignore. You think you’re in control… but then suddenly you’re wrapped up in it, not wanting it to end. Dessert was… well. Smooth. Sweet. A little indulgent. The kind of finish that makes you look across the table and realize you’re not just enjoying the food anymore. Anyway—next time, you’re coming with me. I think you’d appreciate the… pacing.

Booked an early dinner for my wife and 2yo son. Could go on and on about how attentive, knowledgable and fun Mario and Justin were. Not only did my wife and I enjoy some of the better Hamachi, Lobster/Wagu, and Tuna Pizza we have ever had (let alone in Nashville with all the new places), our son also loved the meal. Go find parking in the Gultch, its worth it - DO IT!!
