Sunda Tampa Reviews: From Our Guests

Just had one of the all-time best experiences I’ve had we were in the private room. Service, food, atmosphere you can’t beat it special shout out to my servers. (Sarah and Austin I believe) They were super on point. Excellent describing every Dish we even had, we even had a chef stop by the table. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Food was delicious and well presented. We were pleased with the vegan options. The beef lollipops and the grilled veggies are just two of my favorites. We loved all we ordered. We celebrated my daughter's 18th bday and 4 of us ordered almost one of everything. The tuna truffle pizza was delightful and delicious. So we're the roti tacos. Unique and flavorful dishes and mocktails!! The vibe and music are lively and fun. Loved it!!

Came Saturday night for the first time to celebrate a late Mother's Day. I think this is our new favorite spot in Tampa! Everything was amazing. I could give Jermaine, our waiter, 10 stars I would. He made it for a real special night for my mom and very thankful for that!

This is a long overdue review as I have been loving this restaurant for over a year! It is like a second home. I feel welcomed every time I go there. From Ron the GM who always goes out of his way to give guests special attention, to the staff and even the valet attendants, it is apparent that everyone cares about what they do and doing their best for their guests. The atmosphere and vibe are cool, trendy, upscale with lively high energy! The large central bar offers great views of Midtown and the drinks are outstanding, not to mention the friendly, professional, talented bartenders. The outdoor seating and tropical vibe take Sunda to the next level! The food is delectable and there is something for everyone. The sushi rolls are creative, tasty, and leave you craving! The desserts and dessert drinks are fun and not too sweet. My friends and I visited Tampa on a bachelor trip, didn’t know anything about the area and randomly chose to try Sunda. It turned out to be the best restaurant experience I’ve had in my life. Aaron was incredible, and made great food recommendations all across the board from apps to main dishes (food was phenomenal). They’re intentional about the people they hire and how they treat their customers. I’ll 100% be back next time I’m in Tampa!

We came to Sunda New Asian and ordered the Kamayan Feast for the four of us, and it was HUGE. It comes with adobo pork belly, crispy pata, chicken inasal, garlic shrimp, lumpia egg rolls, green beans, jasmine rice, and dipping sauces. We probably ended up taking home almost half of it because there was so much food. The presentation alone was insane. They decorate it with a ton of fresh fruit and it looks super impressive and colorful when it comes out. One thing to note though is that the rice is layered all the way at the bottom underneath everything else, so you kind of have to dig through the tray to get to it which makes things a little messy. Still, everything we tried was delicious. We also got the pancit and really enjoyed that as well. Service was excellent throughout the meal and everyone was very attentive. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back again.

Came to help my son move out of college and ended up at Sunda for dinner. Had the pleasure of being taken care of by Anna at the bar and she was a gem! Gave such great recommendations on food and drinks and made sure to avoid suggesting food with stuff I disliked. I wish I didn’t have to travel to Tampa just for her.

Everything here is PERFECT. The food, drinks, service is all amazing. Sean gave us a great experience. He gave the best recommendations and obviously cares about his job and the people he serves!

Closest you can get to authentic Thai food experience. Portions are big enough for a big enough guy

We have enjoyed every single meal here! The highlight of the dinners has always been having Germaine as our server! He is an absolute delight, very knowledgeable about the menu, and such a joy to speak with. We haven’t ordered a bad dish, and our favorite will always be the coconut cheesecake!

AMAZING. Our server Chase went above and beyond with service :) Would happily make the drive down from Gainesville to come again!
