Our server Sebastian was awesome. He was very knowledgeable of the menu. He was very polite and attentive of our needs. We definitely visit again. The food was delicious.

My sister and I had dinner here on a weeknight. We had a reservation and were happy to be seated right away. We were served by Jordan. He was super sweet and attentive. He was happy to answer all of our questions and give recommendations. He definitely achieved giving us the best service and experience. He helped us pick out the Yellowtail Jalapeño, and it was very tasty! That was our highlight of the dinner along with a sake flight. The coconut cheesecake too was such a treat. Our only disappointment and reason for one less star was the Meiji Margarita my sister ordered. It lacked the sour/tart flavor desired in a margarita. Unfortunately, it was quite bland and tasted more like a candy dissloved in water. That aside, it was a great dinner and excellent service.

First time coming and we'll have to go again. The place itself is beautiful. The food was amazing. So many options and everyone single one we had was a hit. Shout out to our waiter Garrett. Super helpful when explaining the menu.

We have found our new fav upscale Asian restaurant. My husband and I went here on a whim during their 2nd week open and can’t wait to go back. The atmosphere, music and decor make the perfect setting for any occasion - date, friends dinner, celebration etc. Our server Chris was amazing and went above and beyond. Very professional, accommodating and even surprised us with an extra dessert. We ordered the espresso martini flight, 2 pork belly + 2 Korean fried chicken steamed buns, lobster wagyu, crazy rice, the ridiculous and a mystery dessert. All on point, everything exceeded our expectations. Our bill came to $191.58 after a generous tip and we thought that was more than reasonable considering the service, atmosphere and menu selections. Next time we’re definitely trying the oxtail pot stickers.

The best restaurant in Detroit Area. Amazing food and ambiance. Service is on point. Ask for Jordan the server he is extremely knowledgeable and really makes the experience great.

We had a fabulous meal and experience at Sunda last night celebrating a special occasion. Sebastian was a phenomenal waiter and so knowledgeable about the drinks and the entire menu, he made excellent recommendations. Will definitely be back, ideally with more than 2 people to keep trying more of the menu!

This was our first time trying Sunda and couldn’t be more impressed. Joseph J was our server and he was incredible. He was very quick to have our food out and check to make sure everything was up to par. The lobster waygu roll is a must!! We will be back and requesting Joseph for our server again!

Went to Sunda during opening week and it was amazing! The space is beautiful and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh, flavorful, and looked great — and the drinks were fantastic. Even during opening week, everything felt smooth and well run. Definitely one of the best new spots in Detroit. Can’t wait to go back!

Came here before the cardi B concert! We found seats at the bar. Everyone was attentive & nice. We ordered spicy tuna on fried rice i believe what it’s called, wontons (which were ok) & the walnut shrimp. Everything was so flavorful & hot! We will definitely be returning. This place is amazing!! Everything is so delicious, timed perfectly, and the atmosphere is just right. Sebastian our waiter was knowledgeable, kind, and very helpful even though we gave him a hard time! Can’t wait to go back!!!

***My visit was midweek, for dinner, the first week SUNDA was open. This is a tough one for me. When reviewing a restaurant I really try to consider "VALUE" and "EXPERIENCE". I do not see a high VALUE proposition at SUNDA, but had a good experience. The facility is emaculate. Really well done, a great use of a small place. The location is awesome, a beautiful approach of Tiger Stadium (I know its Comerica) as the backdrop when arriving. AWESOME ! ! ! In summer it won't be a big deal, but when raining or cold there is limited space at the hostess stand and you quickly get shoulder to shoulder with other patrons as you wait to be seated. The staff was excellent; courteous and knowledgeable. SUNDA is a small plate, shareable sampler type of dinning. If you don't know what you want your waiter will make excellent selections for, everything we had was nice, some items MUCH better than others, but generally everything was tasty and presented nicely. The drink menu is creative and a bit risky. The Saki flight seemed to be a crowd favorite. Kind of surprised they didn't include a pink Saki though. With all that said, I would reconsider a second visit. (4) People = $450.00 before tip. (+22% after tip) Check my other reviews, from France, to Tokyo, to Chicago, to Florence, I am not scared to spend good money for a great meal and hopes for an excellent experience. But I did not find the value here. Way too much money for far too little overall. Food was great! The service was excellent as the staff was a jewel in the restaurant's crown, Joseph Hyche was one of the shiniest! Customer service is very important and I'd recommend this place as food, ambiance and service as they were 10/10. The Tiger Shrimp Tempura and Panda signature sushi I definitely recommend! My daughter loved the Spicy "Tale of Two Tunas"!
