Sunda Tampa Reviews: From Our Guests

We had the sushi special boat last night and it equaled the tuna I have had in Japan. Amazing. Our server was amazing. Just a great experience.

Sunda New Asian is a star at the Midtown dining and shopping complex near the intersection of Dale Mabry Highway and I-275. Billed as Asian Fusion, the restaurant clearly spent a great amount of time training staff, developing their menu to include Filipino delicacies and well-crafted items from other Asian countries. The Ribeye and Brown Rice are succulent and excellently prepared. The Sea Bass was also delectable. Special shout out to the staff. Gracie was just so attentive and talkative about the menu choices and her recommendations helped us tremendously.

Chase M. Was an amazing server and was kind the whole time, and amazing at selling the dishes! He explained everything very well and was very accommodating to allergies and/or changes! Definitely rocks in a place like Sunda. Can’t wait to return!

Aaron was awesome! He was very helpful with navigating the menu and helping us choose the perfect dish.

We had the best dinner! The server, Chase, was one of the best we’ve had there (not our first time). We had the brussel sprouts, crispy rice, ribeye and bulgogi tacos. All phenomenal!

Great food! adobo rice, pancit canton, crispy pata, oxtail potstickers! all of these were really good! And Kayla was great. She took care of us, and made this dinner amazing!

Kayla was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing! Super sweet and very professional.

Kayla was such an amazing server! Such a beautiful smile and woman. She was super nice whenever I came to dine in with my family. I don't think I have ever met someone that happy to serve me, her mood just made my experience 10x better!!

I had brunch at Sunda today and had an amazing experience. Aaron was our server, and his service was exceptional from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The entire staff was outstanding as well. Our water glasses were consistently refilled, and plates were cleared promptly, creating a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. The level of attentiveness and professionalism from everyone was truly impressive. On top of the excellent service, the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. Aaron’s politeness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made our visit even more memorable. We will definitely be back!

Really good restaurant. Professionally run, excellent staff. Jermaine was amazing, very professional and knew the menu up and down. Mauricio, his assistant, was also fantastic. Despite how busy it was, the drinks came fast and the food was also very quick. Food tasted great. Will be back many times.

Shoutout Grace. She took the time to get to know us, served us well, and was so kind. Shoutout Frank who came to our table and made us feel welcome. The food is great! Very flavorful. My recommendations: for drinks, get the strawberry fields and peared sake. For food: get the korean fried chicken bao buns, the schezuan chicken, and the lumpia. My suggestions for improvement: with the chau siu ribs, i think they need to be marinated in the sauce bc the outside of the rib is more flavorful than the inside. I think prices could be lower as well. For the doroma star martini, I think it could taste a little more fruity but it was still good. I love Sunda. My top two in Tampa for sure

I don’t usually leave reviews, but after the experience we had with Jermaine, I felt like not writing one would be doing a disservice to everyone who walks through these doors. From the moment we sat down, Jermaine delivered a level of hospitality that is incredibly rare. He wasn’t just attentive—he anticipated needs before we even had to ask. Every recommendation was spot on, every interaction felt genuine, and somehow he managed to make us feel like we were the most important table in the entire restaurant despite clearly handling a busy shift. What separates good service from unforgettable service is making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Jermaine mastered all three. His professionalism, personality, knowledge of the menu, and attention to detail transformed what could have been an ordinary meal into one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Restaurants can have great food, beautiful decor, and a perfect location, but people come back because of employees like Jermaine. He is the kind of person who elevates an entire establishment simply by being there. Management should know that they have an absolute superstar on their team. If every restaurant had a Jermaine, dining out would be a completely different experience. And Diego, transcended the game. Just the most incredible server assistant I have ever encountered. Next Level Brands, YOU HAVE TO PROMOTE these people. Five stars isn’t enough.
